Job Summary
The Business Analyst works as a liaison among stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies and information systems. The business analyst understands business needs and collaborates with project team members on a daily basis to design innovative and effective automation solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.
Essential Job Functions
· Meet with customers to analyze and model business processes and elicit requirements.
· Present results of all research and analysis to project teams for knowledge transfer using appropriate communication methods.
· Document the business reasons behind application design, drawing upon a detailed understanding of the business.
· Exhibit strong listening and comprehension skills and quickly synthesizes information to conduct in-depth analysis.
· Design application user interface, including screen layout and navigation
· Assist with the coordination and facilitation of usability tests, including creating prototypes for design validation.
· Identify risks, dependencies, and potential roadblocks in a timely manner.
· Facilitate the problem solving process by:
o Collecting and analyzing information
o Understanding the problem or opportunity before trying to propose solutions
o Providing impact analysis of proposed solutions
o Communicating issues to the project team and your supervisor
o Working with the team to develop contingencies and mitigate issues
· Proactively research and take advantage of product, industry, and tools training opportunities to increase knowledge and improve skills with departmental tools.
· Provide regular status reports to supervisor and project team, updating tasks and task estimates, as necessary.
· Use time efficiently by planning work activities and managing tasks based on assigned project priorities.
· Take calculated risks and seek out opportunities to achieve project goals.
· Exhibit ability to make sound and accurate decisions quickly and explain the reasoning behind these decisions.
· Participate in design reviews and brown bag study groups to ensure all functional and user interface requirements are implemented consistently across projects and product lines and to enhance your business, product, and job knowledge

Job Specifications
· College degree in Business or Systems related fields or equivalent experience
· 5 years experience as a business analyst meeting with users, designing applications, writing specifications for client server or web-based applications.
· Demonstrated ability to take ownership of project responsibilities and identifies and resolves project issues.
· Demonstrated ability to meet agreed upon deadlines with minimal quality impact and minimal supervision.
· Demonstrated product and business knowledge for assigned products/modules.

· Siebel Enterprise 7.x (or above) is a plus
· OBIEE experience is a plus
· Ability to modify and customize Siebel views is a plus
· Hands-on working knowledge of Siebel tools is a plus
· Siebel certification is a plus
· Knowledge and experience in Oracle SOA Suite will be a plus
