Senior Operations Manager opportunity in San Antonio, TX for a self-motivated, profit driven individual to take ownership of all day to day operations with minimal oversight.  Experience in Product Management, Installation & Training; Liaising with Development, IT, Customer Support, Corporate Accounting and HR. Knowledge of real estate document processes is highly desired. Hgh level knowledge of technology applications. Ability to manage budget both on a project and corporate level.

SUMMARY

Manages and coordinates organization, branch, production, functional or department operation/business strategies and activities.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

§  Responsible for the development and implementation of departmental activities and organization policies, practices, procedures, and attainment of operating goals and are designated according to functions, activities, or type of department assigned.

§  Assigns, or delegates responsibility for, specified work or functional activities and disseminates policies and objectives to supervisors/staff.

§  Reviews, analyzes, and prepares reports, records, and directives, and confers with team members/other departments to obtain data required for planning activities, such as new commitments, status of work in progress, and problems encountered.

§  Evaluates current procedures and practices for accomplishing department objectives to develop and implement improved procedures and practices.

§  Leads activities of department with related activities of other departments to ensure efficiency and economies of scale.

§  Organizes resources to ensure effective meet department/function goals.

§  Gives work direction, resolves problems, prepares schedules, and sets deadlines to ensure timely completion of work.

§  Initiate or authorize associate hire, promotion, discharge, or transfer.

§  Ensures adequate training of staff and associate compliance to organization's policies and practices and applicable statutory or regulatory requirements and laws.

§  Monitors and analyzes costs and assist in preparation of department budget.

§  Prepares reports and records on department activities for management.

§  Acts as a job knowledge expert lending expertise to less senior team members and peers.

§  Performs other duties as assigned.

 

SPECIFICATIONS

REQUIRED

§  Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.

§  Minimum 5 years experience in the related discipline of assigned area.

§  Licensed or accredited in any discipline as required by company requirement or legal/regulatory entity.

§  Applicable business skills necessary to maximize and improve production, service and operational efficiency.

§  Skill in analyzing cross functional impact of departments work contribution up to and including resource allocation and cost.

§  Skilled in analyzing cross functional impact of work performed or services provided.

§  Expert in building and manage teams including leading cross functional groups.

§  Expert knowledge of transactional work and product/service standards and ability to apply standards in non standard situations.

§  Ability to operate within tight deadlines, have attention to detail and be self motivated.

§  Expert skill in applying company standards and applicable regularity and statutory requirements related to the functional area.

§  Expert ability to lead, negotiate, make decisions and maintain good working relationships.

§  Ability to identify problems and develop solution of a highly complex nature.

§  Licensed if and as required by legal/regulatory entity.

§  Expert computer skills including working knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing and database software packages, internet applications and/or company specific computer applications.
